Renew Indianapolis works with the Indianapolis Department of Metropolitan Development (DMD) to set prices on properties currently offered for sale. On April 8th, 2017 in consultation with the DMD, Renew Indianapolis revised our price structure. New applications for property will receive the following prices:
$3,500 for most city-owned properties
A number of city-owned properties in higher value areas are priced closer to the fair market value. Check the price listing for each property to verify.
side lots and vacant lot program properties
$750 if purchased through the side lot program or qualified properties under the vacant lot program.
renew indianapolis owned properties
Begining in 2018, Renew Indianapolis has begun to acquire former Real Estate Owned (REO) properties. These properties are sold through the same application process as our other properties but the price varies.
notes on pricing
These prices do not include closing costs, which are paid by the buyer. Closing costs can vary but historically for our properties they have been around $1,000. Properties without quiet title may require either a full quiet title suit or additional title insurance to insure over legacy tax sale artifacts.
