Renew Indianapolis works with the Indianapolis Department of Metropolitan Development (DMD) to set prices on properties currently offered for sale. On April 8th, 2017 in consultation with the DMD, Renew Indianapolis revised our price structure. Applications received prior to April 8th, 2017 will be grandfathered in under our previous pricing structure. New applications for property will receive the following prices:
city owned properties
$3,500 for most city owned properties
A small number of city owned properties in higher value areas are priced closer to the fair market value. Check the price listing for each property to verify.
$750 if purchased through the side lot program.
renew indianapolis owned properties
Starting in the Summer of 2015 Renew Indianapolis began acquiring formerly Real Estate Owned (REO) properties. These properties are sold through the same application process as our other properties but the price varies and unlike all of our other properties, is negotiable. These properties are noted “Price is Or Best Offer” in the Other Notes column.
These prices do not include closing costs, which are paid by the buyer. Closing costs can vary but historically for our properties they have been around $1,000. Properties without quiet title may require either a full quiet title suit or additional title insurance to insure over legacy tax sale artifacts.
